Affiliate ABCs and Merchant ABCs were born out of a need expressed by affiliates, managers and merchants that I have talked to over the past several years. One affiliate manager that I had just finished a nice dinner with, while discussing all things affiliate related said to me “you need to write a book or something”. Well, I am not going to write a book, because as soon as it would be published it would be out of date

So instead, the idea of a podcast was born, and around the same time that Vinny O’Hare and I started talking about doing a podcast, Geekcast.fm put out a call for internet geeky kinds of podcasts. So there ya go. They are graciously hosting our podcasts and please do go check out the other great shows they have for you to listen to.

Affiliate ABCs to date has been kindof hit and miss, with a variety of topics, some with multiple episodes in “ABC” order and others just informational. We are going to start getting them “more organized” and include some “DEF” and “XYZ” podcasts as well – meaning more advanced information.

We are also going to be breaking out more Merchant ABCs podcasts and articles, with these being more organized right from the beginning. Not to say that something might not slip in out of order, because in Affiliate Marketing, everything is in flux.

The Make Your Mark podcast is all about marketing yourself online, maybe using affiliate marketing, maybe not and is aimed at people getting their art and photography online and selling. Art covers a lot of area, including jewelry artists, painters, photographers, sculptors and many other types of artistic ventures. While originally having a more narrow focus, the interest in that podcast has grown also and it will be encompassing more ecommerce, but still focusing on the “little guy or gal”. It’s all about making your mark with your own product and getting you the attention you are looking for.

FeedFront Magazine has become a great venue for affiliate information that we have been contributing too also. Articles are reprinted here after they have appeared in print in FeedFront.
